The Kyzylorda branch of the National Children’s Rehabilitation Center has been operating since December 01, 2013.
The Branch’s work is aimed at the comprehensive correction of motor, psycho-emotional, and speech disorders that lead to social maladaptation of children with neuropsychiatric pathology.The bed capacity is 60 beds.
The Branch has implemented a check-in hospital system with simultaneous check-in and check-out of patients. The duration of the stay is 24 days, 14 arrivals per year.
Rehabilitation is carried out according to a single protocol of diagnosis and rehabilitation, a single approach to care is applied regardless of age, gender, religion, nationality, place of residence.
About 900 children are rehabilitated at the Branch every year.
The Branch has created a multidisciplinary team (MDK), which is entrusted with:
- conducting and assessing the severity of the patient’s condition and functional disorders upon admission, in dynamics and before discharge in accordance with international criteria;
- determination of rehabilitation diagnosis, rehabilitation potential and prognosis;
- determination of the scope, stage, and medical organization for medical rehabilitation
Three modules of integrative rehabilitation are used
Medical module: functional assessment, ergotherapy, kinesotherapy (physical therapy), physiotherapy, diet therapy, botulinum therapy, BOS therapy, mechanotherapy
Psychological and pedagogical module: speech therapy, defectology, psychological support, Montessori therapy, music therapy, game therapy
Social module: orthotics, adaptive sports and participation in the Spartakiad,professional orientation in workshops (autodrom), legal counseling, mammotherapy
